Mended Silk
The sash was first worn by a battlefield chirurgeon who believed no act of healing should be wasted. She stitched the garment herself from the burial wrappings of soldiers she could not save, working the silk until it remembered what wholeness felt like. Those who wear it say they feel a faint warmth at the hip whenever the fabric holds something in trust.
Mechanics
When you restore hit points to a creature, excess healing beyond their maximum is banked and paid forward to the next creature you heal.
Carried Grace
Whenever you restore hit points to a creature and the amount healed would exceed that creature's hit point maximum, the surplus is stored in the sash as Carried Grace, up to a maximum of 30 stored points. When you next restore hit points to a different creature, the Carried Grace discharges first, adding its stored amount to that healing. Stored points are lost if you finish a long rest without spending them.
DM Notes
Balance consideration: the maximum cap of 30 stored points prevents this from becoming trivially powerful in encounters where the attuned character repeatedly overheals a single target. The long rest expiration creates a meaningful choice: risk burning the stored grace on a minor wound now, or hold it for a more critical moment. DMs should note that this item rewards attentive play rather than passive benefit, it is most impactful for characters who heal multiple allies across a single encounter. It does not interact with temporary hit points, since those are not healing. For parties with no dedicated healer, the item may see limited use; consider placing it where a Cleric or Paladin is likely to find it.
